The courses of study for the achievement of the first-level academic diploma of the School of Painting train artistic skills and qualified professionalism, which takes into account the pluralism of languages and innovations in techniques, can develop their research in the field of painting, linked to the methods of tradition and its elaboration in the context of the experimentation of new expressive languages.

Objectives

Graduates of the School’s diploma courses must:

  • possess an adequate technical-operational mastery of methods and contents about the research sectors in the fields of the arts, techniques, and technologies of painting to progress in the acquisition of an autonomous and personal awareness of artistic production;
  • possess methodological and critical abilities suitable for the acquisition of skills of expressive languages, techniques, and the most advanced technologies related;
  • be able to effectively use at least one European Union language, in addition to the mother tongue, in the primary area of competence and for the exchange of general information;
  • possess adequate skills and tools for communication and information management, in particular with information technology tools.

Employment prospects

School graduates will carry out professional activities in various fields, both in the artistic profession and in the field of visual arts and creative activities, as well as collaborating, within the different fields of application, in the planning, design, and implementation of the specific interventions of painting, both in the area of tools linked to tradition and of new technologies and new linguistic expressions found in national and international events. The Academy will organize, in agreement with public and private bodies, the most appropriate internships and apprenticeships to contribute to the achievement of specific professional skills and will further define, for each course of study, specific training models.
